National Apology commemoration

On the 13th of February our community will commemorate and acknowledge the National Apology with an event lead by Indigenous Elders. On the 13th of February 2008, the Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, tabled a motion in Parliament apologising to Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, particularly the Stolen Generations and their families and communities, for laws and policies which had 'inflicted profound grief, suffering and loss on these our fellow Australians'. On the 13th of February our school community will commemorate and acknowledge the National Apology with an event lead by Indigenous Elders. Click on MORE to find out about the National Apology
